Tanned to shrink the fibre structure by up to 25%, in order to create a unique appearance after impregnation and the addition of a number of waxes. The tight fibre structure prevents any ‘opening’ or stretching, and the traditional, rich dyings work with the waxes during wear, to produce a wonderful combination of natural texture and colour. Fully waterproof. Used by many famous Goodyear welted footwear brands, as well as casual leathergoods.
